Terms & Conditions

Effective date: June 11, 2026 · Last updated: October 7, 2026

1. Accepting these terms

Your use of fireprotectionhires.com (“FireProtectionHires,” “we,” “us”) is governed by these Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”).

Browsing openings, reading our guides or buying a job listing each counts as agreeing to the Terms.

If you don't accept them, please stay off the site.

Buying a job listing or applying to a job through the site requires you to be 18 or older.

2. What FireProtectionHiresdoes and doesn't do

FireProtectionHires is a job board for fire protection positions: sprinkler fitting, fire alarm, inspection, testing and maintenance, suppression, design, engineering and management roles. It does not design, install, inspect, test or recommend fire protection systems or work for building owners or anyone else.

Our role is publishing job listings and career material.

We do not employ anyone in the listed positions, we are not a staffing firm or recruiter, and we are not part of any employment arrangement between a candidate and an employer.

Candidates and employers are not screened, interviewed or endorsed by us, and we make no promise that a listing leads to a hire or that an application leads to a job.

3. Where listings come from

FireProtectionHires carries two kinds of listings: ones employers buy and submit to us directly, and ones gathered from the public careers pages of employers.

Either way, responsibility for what a listing says (the role, the pay and the stated requirements, and whether they are accurate) sits with the employer, not with FireProtectionHires.

A gathered listing can be edited or closed on the employer's own site before our copy catches up.

Clicking Apply takes you to the employer's application page, and from there the employer's own terms and privacy practices apply instead of ours.

4. Paid listings and billing

  • Each paid listing is a single, one-time purchase at the price on our pricing page and does not renew on its own.
  • The one exception is the Growth and Brand slot plans, which are monthly subscriptions set up by getting in touch with us and which you may cancel whenever you choose.
  • Stripe processes all payments, and your card details never reach or stay with us.
  • A listing goes public right after checkout, stays up for 30 days and then expires on its own.
  • Our Refund Policy sets the rules for any refund.
  • When you post a listing, you confirm that the position is real and currently open, that what the listing says is true and legal, and that it meets every employment law that applies, anti-discrimination rules and any state or local pay-transparency requirement for the role included.
  • If we reasonably believe a listing is fraudulent, misleading, discriminatory, unlawful, filed under the wrong category or otherwise breaks these Terms, we may refuse, edit or take it down, and a listing taken down for breaking these Terms is not refunded.

5. Rules of use

When using the site, you won't:

  • publish listings that are untrue, deceptive or fraudulent, or that advertise anything besides a real open position;
  • copy, scrape or mass-download listings or other site content to republish it unless we have agreed in writing;
  • disrupt how the site runs, try to get into systems or data that are not meant for you, or get around paying;
  • send spam or other unrequested commercial messages through the site;
  • pose as another person or business, or give a false account of your connection to an employer.

6. Career pages are general information only

Our career guides, pay pages and certification and licensing pages offer general information about working in fire protection.

None of it is legal, tax, code, design, life-safety or licensing advice, and it may lag behind recent changes to state law, adopted codes or licensing rules.

Pay figures are estimates taken from the sources we cite and do not promise any particular compensation.

Before you act on a licensing, certification, apprenticeship or scope-of-work question, confirm it with the state licensing agency and, where one applies, the local authority having jurisdiction.

7. Ownership of content

FireProtectionHires owns, or has permission to use, the content, design and branding of the site, all of which copyright and trademark law protect.

Employers keep ownership of the listing content they send us, and they give us a license to show, format and distribute it, search-engine job indexes included, so that we can run the site.

Company names and logos that appear on listings remain the property of their owners.

8. No warranties

We offer the site on an “as is” and “as available” basis. As far as the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, and that includes merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We give no warranty that the site will run without interruption or errors, that listings are correct or up to date, or that an employer or candidate is really who they say.

9. Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, FireProtectionHires bears no liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or lost goodwill, that result from your use of the site, hiring decisions, employment relationships and the outcome of applications included.

For any claim connected to the site, the most we will owe is what you paid us during the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100 if you paid us nothing.

10. Indemnity

Employers agree to indemnify FireProtectionHires and hold it harmless against claims that come from the listings they post, such as a claim that a listing is inaccurate, unlawful or discriminatory, and against claims that come from how they hire.

11. Updates to the site and to these Terms

Features of the site can be altered or retired by us whenever we decide.

These Terms can be revised as well, and each revision moves the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

If you keep using the site after a revision, you are accepting the revised Terms.

A material change to the terms for paid listings only covers listings bought after that change.

12. Governing law and how to reach us

The laws of the United States and of the state where FireProtectionHires is organized govern these Terms, without applying conflict-of-law rules.
