Fire Door Inspector Jobs

A fire door inspector inspects and tests fire-rated door assemblies, and often fire and smoke dampers, to NFPA 80 and NFPA 105, documenting deficiencies and making or scheduling repairs so the assemblies close and latch as listed.

Inspectors work for fire protection, door hardware and life-safety service companies and hospitals, often with a fire door inspector certification.
